Google is working fast to add artificial intelligence features to Search. Most recently, the company has expanded its Search Generative Experience (SGE) tools to offer new options within Search. You will now be able to create AI images in Google, similar to Dall-E.
How to use AI image generator in Google Search
To create an image, simply type a description in the Google search bar. On the standard search screen, several AI-generated photos will appear. You will also be able to edit these photos.
Powered by Google’s Imagen model, SGE can create realistic images based on keywords alone. For example, a search for “capybara preparing breakfast” reveals images of the animal as a chef.
Users will also find a sidebar option that allows SGE to automatically generate new concepts when searching for images. To prevent spoofing, each image will be watermarked.
In the first phase, Google is not accepting drawings of human faces and important people. Instead, it wants users to use their creativity. Also, political or religious images cannot be created.
There is some debate that AI images will replace artists. But Google said the tool is a “responsible and useful starting point for creativity”. The company will continue to evolve SRI over time to expand its capabilities while prioritizing safety.
